Purple Haze Hat

 It seemed that a hat to go with the mittens would be nice
So here is a simple hat using the same rib pattern as mittens

I made this up as I went along

In summary:

Cast on 152 stitches
rib: 20 rows K1tbl, P1
body: k1 P3
Crown:  12 decreases spaced evenly on alternate rows to 12 stitches

I used more than 1 ball of yarn but luckily had the leftovers from the mittens

It took just about 3 balls for both projects

Purple Haze Mittens

 I needed something to keep my hands busy in the evenings and MRR has needed and kept 2 pairs of my mitts

So some slightly dressy but not fancy ones were needed

A fine yarn seemed like a good idea so sock yarn would be a good choice and I wanted a fairly dense fabric

All of which led me to this pattern

I love the colours in this yarn and they will go nicely with all my winter coats
