Well another little bundle is on her way so we need more baby gear. Thought we were done with the tiny things
Luckily I hadn't actually tossed the baby patterns though the toys are gone as are the baby puzzles
This is my favourite baby sweater pattern
It knits up so easily and looks good
It took 79 g for the sweater
I hope there is enough left for a little hat and maybe some baby socks
I want them ready for Christmas so they can go under the tree
Just enough for a little hat but nothing else. Based on Sock Yarn Hat Pattern by Kate Atherley
Forgot to take a photo.

Silver Berries Cardigan
Here's the Christmas cardi for the big sister
Knew I didn't have enough red yarn so added the light grey stripe pattern

Used up most of my red yarn but enough left for a hat

The yellow table isn't the best background but there you go

Size: 66 sts

True Blue Cardigan
I had no intention of knitting any more sweaters for the two littles but then I found this wool and some for his sister at the back of the yarn cupboard. So here it is - one last cardigan for a little boy who is now a big school boy!!!

This is an old pattern bought in the UK from a mail order yarn manufacturer I used to patronise.
I added rib panels to both sleeves and the back but forgot about the fronts until I was well on the way. As I wanted this for Christmas and I still have to knit the one for his sister, I decided to leave them plain.
I thought he was big enough to use most of this yarn but surprise - I still have a whole ball left.
Yes definitely enough for a hat. Used the ball of worsted that got mixed in with the DK. Just enough yarn for a simple stocking stitch hat on 4mm needles
Pattern: Falcon Family cardigans
Size: 78 sts
Yarn: Patons North America True North DK
Colour: Blue

2018 Charity Knits
Next week is delivery day for Charity donations through the Quilt Guild
I have made a variety of sizes of mitts and hats. All were made from my stash so some are striped and they are in various weights of yarn
I feel better about sending these to the guild as I know that they will be distributed immediately rather than sitting in a box hoping for someone to pull them out for sale before they are old and out of style
I have 6 pairs of hand knit socks which I have never worn. I decided that as I am unlikely to ever wear them, they can go into the bag as well.

Love this pattern
I changed the cable pattern

There was some yellow yarn left so I started a simple hat.
Needed some white stripes to make it .

Hats again
I have decided to leave the NGH Craft Group.
I have been frustrated with the resistance to change for some time. In addition I found that all the hats and mittens which I had made before leaving for Florida in December are still sitting on the pricing table. They really aren't doing any good there. I wonder how long they are going to sit in boxes on a shelf?
I still have lots of yarn and have learned that NCQG can use hats and mitts in all sizes in their winter packages for our local charities. This means that they will go straight to people who need them . I feel much better about that. So I am knitting away - mostly children's hats but one or two adult hats too. I have to find some teenage boy styles too.

Copper Openwork Rib Socks
Yet another pair of socks
The colours in these skeins are quite different even though they are from the same 6 pack
The yarn feels a little rough after the sockytalky but it should soften with washing and wear
Pattern: Open work rib from Charlene Schurch
Size: 72 sts
Yarn: Patons Kroy Socks FX
Colour: 57510 Copper Colours

Sapphire Sweater Vest
Recycled the yarn from my hoodie that just didn't fit
Lots of odd bits of wool so not enough for a full sweater
Used the stitch pattern from the hoodie but followed the sweater vest pattern
Very pleased with the result
